History of the Southern Art House Tour
Always looking for new and exciting ways to fundraise for our school communities, a joint Columba College and John McGlashan College Art House Tour, similar to the one run so successfully by AGS in Auckland, was suggested. Inspired by the idea, a joint sub-committee was formed and work began on the planning for our own tour.
With the added excitement of this being the inaugural event, artists were keen to display their works in the homes so generously offered to us as part of the tour.
Our dream is to make this an annual/ or biennial event, enriching the local art calendar and supporting the educational journey of our future leaders.
The Southern ArtHouse Tour will be on November 2nd 2024
The Houses
We have six beautiful homes for the 2024 Art House Tour as well as The Dunedin Club, an exclusive members club located in central Dunedin.
Exact address details will be made available to attendees the week of the Tour.
Schedule
ART HOUSE TOUR
Saturday 02 November:
9-10am Registration Packs to be collected from John McGlashan College, 2 Pilkington Street, Maori Hill, Dunedin
10am – Art House Tour begins
3:45pm – Last entry time to enter any home on the Tour
4pm-5pm – Collection of purchased artworks from ArtHouse Tour homes
